Vtg B & G Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Denmark Blue Eagle The Bicentennial Plate.
Beautiful vintage Bing & Grondahl Royal Copenhagen porcelain collector's plate "The Bicentennial Plate" issue. The front features all blue glaze with E Pluribus Unum above an eagle and a shield below in the center with oval frames around each of the original 13 states of the US with the accompanying star below it. The bottom 2 ovals read 1776 and 1976. The back is stamped with a crown and reads "By Appointment to the Royal Danish Court" with the B&G mark surrounded by "Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Made in Denmark" "The Bicentennial Plate 1776 - 1976" and the bottom reads "This is a Special Edition Plate Produced to Celebrate the Bicentennial of The United States of America". The plate measures approximately 9" in diameter.
